New website, improvements and other works in GPLDesigner

Friends:

As we mentioned a few days ago, we have been working on the new site, with improvements, new functions, optimizations, among other peculiarities.

Next, we detail what has been worked from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 December:

Already done:

Server optimization to high quality.
We change the website theme for a lighter one, oriented on performance and positioning.
We completely create all the display templates for products, categories and labels.
We changed the search engine for a new one based on Ajax. Much more agile and efficient.
We added the download button in the product grids, to save time and make the download experience much more pleasant.
We create the product metadata in the grids for a better experience.
We completely create all sections of the site, such as theme section, plugins, changelog, etc.
We create segmentation and specific search filters. This means that when accessing the “topics” section, after using the search system, it will only return results associated with “topics”, thus improving the search and work experience. The same for the “plugins”. The home search engine and other sections will perform global searches as usual.
We created a section called “brands”, where you can review the authors with whom we are currently working, and after clicking on each one, see all the products associated with it.
We configure daily backup systems that do not impact server performance and we improve the antivirus and firewall system.
Unfortunately, since some users have flagged our mail about new product updates as spam, this feature that many love will be restricted to only one delivery per week, which will be on Fridays.

We are still working

We are in the process of restructuring content. This is why certain texts are wrong, as well as some old codes and certain “scribbles” from old theme. All downloads are working, but we continue to update each of the products to remove the “junk” from the previous theme.
We continue to structure the labels to correctly segment all the products in the store, eliminating some that are not useful and regrouping everything.
We are in the process of renewing many of the contracts, so in the next few days, we will add new products and eliminate others.
We will no longer work the registration process with social networks, due to the continuous changes in the different networks, so we are checking all and working in everything related to this point.

Problems with YITH Products and the Final Decision

Dear customers:

Due to the product traceability system, the conditions and the recurring unilateral blocks to our accounts by YITH, which have led us to have to buy the same product up to 5 times, we are forced to not be able to offer products of said brand.

On the other hand, we recommend you dear friends, that you look for alternatives that satisfy even better than these products.

We will not remove the products, but we will not update them. If we see that people insist on requesting updates, we will be obliged to delete all YITH products, so as not to provide false expectations, etc.

Summary 2020 and what we will do in 2021

First of all, thank you very much for being so important in contributing to the growth of GPLDesigner since 2018. Our growth is really based on the trust of each one of you. This is why we have taken certain measures that we will detail below:

Infrastructure Optimization

We have updated the Server, both in its capacity and in its qualities, so in the coming days, it will work even better.
We update the Agreement With Amazon S3 for all of 2021, in order to guarantee the quality and security of the storage of all products on the site.

Product List and YITH

We have acquired new products that we will publish in the coming days. We really have invested a lot of money to ensure that we have access to a quality catalog. We are more concerned with quality than quantity, as other sites offer to prioritize.
On the other hand, in the next few days, we will remove some products from the catalog. This, either due to low demand, problems inherent to the product, contract terms with a supplier or because it is simply not feasible to maintain certain products in certain special cases. An example of this is the reduction of most of YITH’s products, since in recent times, YITH has increased its prices too much. Now, they no longer offer a subscription like before and when they had it, it was a price that is impossible to afford for any business. It is really prohibitive for a site like ours and from what we have seen in the market, it seems to most it has been prohibitive. We recommend dear friends, if you are using these plugins on your website, look for a reasonable alternative. We will try to keep some products, but they are constantly blocking and delaying access to the latest versions.

General Updates

We are optimizing the site in general, creating more refined categories, better product segmentations, new product access pages, and various optimizations to make the experience in our store better and better.

What’s to come

We are generating descriptions for each of the products, so we will improve the organic positioning little by little. We are managing the possibility of integrating a member to the team, in order to guarantee support in 24 hours or less guaranteed. We will probably be in clarity by the end of this month.
We will update the way it is viewed and has the terms of service, privacy policy, among other sections to optimize the experience, as well as update the terms of conditions between today February 16 and the end of the month.

The above is what we can comment on so far and in addition to thanking you, we tell you that this 2021 we will make an even greater effort. Please spread the word about the site, so that we can become more and more known and thus have more resources to be able to purchase new products.
